I’ve already looked at it with my eye, with my loupe and used the refractometer but I thought I’d take the opportunity to show you the polariscope! The polariscope identifies whether a gemstone is singly or doubly refractive. As singly refractive gemstone will remain dark, when rotated 360°, whereas a doubly refractive gemstone will go from light to dark when rotated 360° in most cases
