Found a ton of gorgeous Golden Chanterelles (Cantharellus formosus) growing under Doug Fir out in the California coast. They are surviving on moisture from the fog drip and tend to grow buried down in the grass and duff. Long term studies have shown no difference between cut vs pluck so harvest them however you like.
