We’ve been making our own raised bed / container soil mix for years using the “Mel’s Mix” recipe from @squarefootgardening The price of peat moss and vermiculite has gone up significantly from when we started, but it’s still way cheaper than buying bagged potting soil mix. We buy the peat moss in 4 cu ft bags from the local hardware store. Vermiculite is cheapest in 4 cu ft bags from your local nursery usually. Compost can either be made yourself or bought in bulk as well. Plus you’re able to ad
