Kilchurn Castle located on the shore of Loch Awe and was built in the mid-15th century by Sir Colin Campbell, the first Lord of Glenorchy. Here's a 60-second tour around Loch Awe, Scotland's largest freshwater loch! If you've ever driven to Oban then there's a good chance you've skirted a short section of the loch, most people do at least stop at Kilchurn Castle or St Conans Kirk (the glaring omission from this video but my footage has gone mysteriously missing...) Once you've left the main road after Bridge of Awe, things get a lot quieter. You'll find woodland walks, sweeping views and great coffee at Wild Rowan Cafe in Dalavich
