2012年4月21日 · I am not familiar with AF S gauge, let alone O gauge. I would like a pre-war steam loco for my collection. Is there any AF steam loco with as much design and reputation as a Lionel hudson, or say a 701 switcher etc. Any pictures would help. THANX

Just wondering if anyone is making reproduction rubber roadbed or ties for the origanal AF track. just getting started in flyer and building a layout but the rubber roadbed seems to be hard to come by even on ebay. thanks Rick

It's a reproduction of an O Gauge Ives 1694 (made by Lionel) in 1932 and illustrated in the Ives catalog that year - the final Ives catalog. The early Lionel post-war 027 2-6-2 2025 and its O Gauge brother 2-6-2 675 possessed the best motors Lionel ever manufactured. The same motors were used in the pre-war 224Es, 225Es, and 226Es. Smooth and silent running they are great pullers as the original poster stated. Also, the great looking nickel rimmed Baldwin Disc Drivers give them a real spiffy appearance.
