Sacagawea Dollar w/no date or mint mark - Coin Talk
Jan 16, 2011 · The Date and Mint Mark were moved to the edge of the Sacagawea Dollar with the release of the Native American coin Series in 2009 which retained the Sacagawea Bust on the Obverse. I do not have an image of a 2009 coin but offer this image of the 2010 version from the US Mint. Pictures, even rudimentary pictures would answer a lot of questions.

Nov 26, 2024 · A coin that has circulated and has a worn mint mark can also lead to a filled die. Any coin with a P or a D mint mark is more likely to become a blob but the S will do it as well. The P and D are filled in but the S isn’t so it takes longer.
