In 1969, Zink began producing the Z-9. The Super Vee series had been announced and Zink decided to build a racer for competition. It was given a space frame chassis constructed from stressed aluminum and round and square steel tubing. The engine was a Volkswagen unit, as were the brakes.

Zink Cars is a former constructor of Formula Vee cars among other racing cars. Zink Cars was formed in 1962, as of 1974 all manufacturing of the Zink racing cars was taken over by Citation Engineering.

2016年11月8日 · This 1969 Zink C4 is a Formula Vee racer that features what the seller calls a “zero roll” rear suspension conversion and 1600 dual port VW boxer. Weighing in at about 850 pounds, the seller claims it’s very quick, and any modern upgrades are said to be easily removed in order to accommodate vintage racing rules.

2009年5月5日 · 1972 Hauser-Zink C4. It currently runs in the FV-2 class in RMVR due to the Zero-roll rear suspension and lack of fan. Fresh 1200 with one race weekend. SCCA, VARA, and RMVR logbooks. 2 spare sets of wheels and new American racer slicks with one race on them. 2018 annual tech completed. I just had the custom Roxanne header ceramic coated.

2010年1月19日 · Hi folks, I have a lead on a much modified zink C4 (Z4?) but it's missing all of the rear body work (plus about 90% of everything else but most of that I have or can recreate). I'm still fence sitting on wether to buy this basket case or not and the availability of the rear body work is a big thing for me.
