Xanax stays in the system enough for about 3 days to the point it can react to alcohol and cause overdose issues which is where I get the 25% threshold number. My doctor is the one who suggested 50% was the point where I needed to consider everyday medications again.

Xanax kicks in instantly, the anxiety is gone very quickly. I don’t want to scare you, but Xanax should really only be used for a short period of time, or for panic attacks. You don’t wanna take it everyday, if you’re going through a rough patch, then understandable, but if it’s regular GAD take em when you absolutely can’t do it.

Xanax was much stronger and halted all panic, but also all emotions in general. May work for your long flight but you would probably want to know how it's going to do for you before you use it in a situation where you need to be on point and responsible, like in an airport.
