2008年3月29日 · If you need over cleaner, then look at the wood and how you burn it- the glass should not get black nastiness with dry wood and a hot fire. Get the stove hot and it burns off the black stuff. A wet paper towel, maybe a little ash will clean any haze. Urine diluted 1:1 is excellent as well, and it keeps the glass clean longer.

The point is that a proper running secondary-burn stove shouldn't be gunking up the glass, and if something happens and you do get some creosote, it should burn off ...

2008年12月16日 · If you just wet a paper towel, dip it in the fine ash in the stove, use that to clean the window then wet another to get the entire streaky mess of and another dry one to clean it down: you will be pleased with the result. It takes less than a minute or two. Make sure the glass has cooled enough that you can touch it.

I purchased some good old fashioned oven stove cleaner and sprayed it directly on the glass at room temp. I would ipe the glass off with either paper toweling or news paper. That took all the crap off the glass.
