2021年7月28日 · So, I found a free FSM for volvo 280/290 sp & dp drives and downloaded it to my computer, phone, and I also printed it out. I also found several parts diagrams from the transom plate to the lower unit, so I could see how things go together and to id the parts needed and to get part #'s. The manual says sae 90 gl5, 80w90 gl5, or 75-90 synthetic gl5.

One common problem with the lockdown mechanism has is the fingers that hooks onto the cross pin (item 59 & 62) and holds the drive down while in reverse, get the tips worn off and rounded, then they allow the drive to kick up.

The prop/s just slide on and held in place by a threaded nut of some kind, and no not require a puller. If you need a puller, the prop is froze to the shaft. May have to destroy the prop to remove it.

2009年8月24日 · If the bellows leaks in a Volvo 290 style drive, you will probably get water into the flywheel cover bearings and then you have to pull the engine to fix it. With new bellows, new gear lube, new hose connection by pulling the gear box, it's an hour and a half to 2 hour job for even a first timer.

The DuoProp props are not listed by pitch, because the front and rear props are different sizes and pitch and designed to work together.
