Trying to figure out how proficiency works with instruments of the bards. Proficiency options are Bagpipes, Drum, Dulcimer, Flute, Horn, Lute, Lyre, Pan Flute, Shawm and Viol... and yet amongst the instruments of the bards there's also harps, a mandolin, a bandore and a cittern.

2023年8月17日 · Okay I got a big ask here. I’m new to the game and making my first ever character, an Air Genasi Bard. Dnd Beyond is what I’ve been using to get the basics, but when it asked for a musical instrument I barely recognized any of them listed. I know some of y’all love making lists, can anyone list and explain the musical instruments in dnd
Musical recimmendations for a violin/viola bard! : r/DnD - Reddit
2016年12月23日 · Well as Ryngard pointed out, if the equivalent historical period is 14th century Europe then technically both viola and violin still have yet to evolve from the viol precursor instrument. So basically either violin or viola pieces would be alright.

Q about magical instruments for Bards : r/DnD - Reddit
2023年3月31日 · Even though violins are part of the lute family, it is given as requiring a separate proficiency (viol). So if I need proficiency in lute in order to have any hope of having a magical stringed instrument in the game then I'd be taking two proficiencies in stringed instruments just to do so. I had hoped to take one wind and one drum proficiency ...
