It is very much possible that the Vega Pro 20 GPU draws more power than the 560X, I still need to test it out more rigorously, but its not something that you will notice in operation.

2018年11月14日 · Vega 20 is 50W GPU, 560x is 35W, 555x is 30W. With the same fan rpms, doing the same continuous task Vega 20 is 30C hotter than 555x. The only scenario where Vega is cooler is when you connect external display, it consumes significantly less energy while idle in such scenario. Until of course you let it loose.

2019年10月3日 · I got just a hair under 36000. Not as fast as the Vega 48, but not too far off, and quite a bit quicker than the Vega 20. To compare another number, in the Fire Strike graphics benchmark, my RX 580 gets about 13500 (though that's in a gaming PC rather than the Mac Pro.) Quite a bit quicker than the Vega 20, which seems to sit around 8000.

2018年12月3日 · Needless to say, it is over double the price of the Vega 20, but is it over double the value when using an external monitor. I suspect that because it is an 8 gb memory it will excel with my monitor over the Vega 20 but the 580x is sort of long in the tooth now.

The computer will simply be used by the family for daily email, web browsing, and programs like Microsoft Word/PPT etc. Not sure if the upgrade is worth it for users not doing any photo/video editing? Or would upgrading extend the life/value of the computer...
