Math Professor Lauren Childs has been awarded an endowed appointment funded by Math alumna Archana Sathaye (M.S. '86) and her husband Shirish Sathaye (M.S. Engineering, '86). The endowment will support Dr. Childs' ongoing research in mathematical biology, particularly concerning building mathematical models of disease spread.
