The Virtual Pooled Registry-Cancer Linkage System (VPR-CLS) is a web-based, streamlined process for researchers to conduct minimal-risk linkage studies with the nationwide resource of Central Cancer Registries. A total of 45 registries are currently enrolled in the VPR.
The Virtual Pooled Registry Cancer Linkage System (VPR-CLS) facilitates streamlined linkages between research studies and participating U.S. registries. Each year as part of the NAACCR Call for Data, VPR registries create a single, standardized VPR-CLS registry linkage file.
Coordinated by the North American Association of Cancer Registries (NAACCR) with funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the VPR-CLS provides a single location to facilitate minimal risk linkages between studies with an existing cohort and 46 U.S. registries representing approximately 90% of the U.S. population plus Puerto Rico.
