Unije se oslobađaju talijanske vlasti i priključuju se matici Hrvatskoj, a u njenom sklopu i FNR Jugoslaviji. Lošinjsko poduzeće "Jadranka" 1978. na otoku započinje s poljoprivredom i stočarstvom.

2015年9月1日 · Unije is a small island located in the Kvarner Gulf, just in front of Lošinj island, reachable by catamaran from Rijeka, from Pula or from Mali Lošinj. It’s an island completely empty of cars (wonderful!), with one village only, in which the port is located, called Unije as well.

Unije so gričevnat otok, porasel s sredozemskim grmičevjem in površino 16,87 km², na severu Jadrana v zahodnem nizu Kvarnerskih otokov, zahodno od otoka Lošinj. Najvišji vrh na otoku je 129 mnm visok Kalk. Zahodna obala se strmo spošča v morje, medtem ko je vzhodna obala nižja z več manjšimi zalivi.

Unije is a small island just west of the larger Losinj in Kvarner bay; it is just under 17 sq. km. in total size and 10km long. The island has a population of fewer than 100 people, and there are only about 50 or so houses in the main settlement on the island, which is also called Unije.

The largest of the islands close to Mali Lošinj, Unije has an undulating landscape that abounds with Mediterranean shrubs, pebble beaches and numerous coves and inlets. The island’s only settlement is a picturesque fishing village of gabled stone houses.

Unije su najzapadniji hrvatski otok sa stalnim stanovništvom i spadaju u Cresko-lošinjsku otočnu skupinu. Površina je Unija 16,88 km2 (na 20. mjestu po veličini među hrvatskim otocima), a dužina obalne crte je oko 38,059 km. Najviši vrh otoka je Kalk (132 m).

Unije is one of the islands situated furthest to the west in the series of small open-sea Adriatic islands of Zeča, Srakane and Susak. The island is hilly (its highest peak is Kalk, 138 m) and former of limestone.

Unije, otok u Kvarneru, sjeverozapadno od Lošinja; obuhvaća 16,87 km² s 66 st. (2021). Najveći je i prema pučini najistaknutiji otok u nizu otočića (Zeča, Unije, Srakane Vele, Srakane Male i Susak) pred zapadnom obalom otokâ Cresa i Lošinja.
