Our circle was the 15th, also called the “Omicron” Circle, and was established in the United States on May 28th, 1925. There are some notable ODK members with UVa ties, including UVa Presidents Jim Ryan, Teresa Sullivan, and John Casteen; Athletic standouts Val Ackerman, Mike London, Dawn Staley, and Craig Littlepage. Omicron Delta Kappa (ΟΔΚ), also known as The Circle and ODK, is an American collegiate honor society that recognized leadership and scholarship. It was founded in 1914, at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and has chartered more than 400 chapters or circles.

I would have to pay $100 for membership, and I have the GPA (4.0), but I am not doing anything to show leadership. Unless they count my employment. My questions is this, as a graduate student (about to graduate next semester), should I even join?

However, is it one of those honor societies that asks basically almost everyone to join or is it a true ‘honor’ to belong? Any information would be greatly appreciated.</p>
