In other cases, USA was used in a company name (e.g. T-Mobile USA), an organisation name (e.g. Doctors Without Borders USA), or the name of a festival (e.g. Folkmoot USA Festival). I have also found sentences similarly to the following in used by the USA Today, when I guess they short USA Today with USA.

You can find examples of other countries, as well, e.g. Made in ROC/Made in PRC for goods from the Republic of China (Taiwan) and from the People's Republic of China respectively.

When a consumer sees a product is "made in the USA" they perceive this as higher quality and "THE" is stressing word its an assurance to customers about the complete manufacturing of the product in USA.

2017年1月26日 · USA. "American" covers a lot more ground - Mexicans and Canadians are Americans, and some of them object strenuously to equating "American" to "citizen of the USA". Not to mention Brazilians, Ecuadoreans, etc., all of whom are Americans. Plus, as a legal matter, the name of the country is not "America".

Another word with radically different connotations in British and American English is 'fag'. In England, it is a colloquial term for a cigarette; in the USA, it is a very derogatory term for homosexual. –
