Tuor Eladar and Idril Celebrindal are fictional characters from J. R. R. Tolkien 's Middle-earth legendarium. They are the parents of Eärendil the Mariner and grandparents of Elrond Half-elven: through their progeny, they become the ancestors of the Númenóreans and of the King of the Reunited Kingdom Aragorn Elessar.

2006年5月29日 · When the Elves attempted to escape the land which had been taken by evil men, Tuor was captured and held as a thrall by Lorgan the Easterling. After years of patience, he escaped and, after a brief existence as an outlaw, sought the Gate of the Noldor and Turgon, the Hidden King of Gondolin.

The son of Huor and cousin to Túrin Turambar, Tuor is renowned as the father of Eärendil the Mariner. In his youth, Tuor journeyed into Nevrast, and there spoke with the Vala Ulmo. Ulmo sent him as messenger to Turgon in Gondolin. Dwelling there, he wedded Turgon's daughter Idril, who gave birth to Eärendil.

Tuor was the father of Earendil and thus grandfather of Elrond. Tuor's son Earendil was key in the destruction of Morgoth, and Earendil became a star in the sky. Tuor was born in year 471 of the First Age. He was the son of Huor of the House of Hador and Rian of the House of Beor.

Tuor was taken to foster by a Grey-elf Annael. When he was sixteen, the elves tried leave the caves of Androth where they lived, but Orcs and Easterlings attacked them, and Tuor was taken captive. After being three years a slave to Lorgan, the chief of the Easterlings of Hithlum, he escaped and returned to caves of Androth.
