2022年3月4日 · The have a new Virtuosi EE-flat tuba in a similar price range to Besson 981/982. They also include other brass band instruments in their 'Virtuosi' range (Euphonium, Baritone, Tenor Horn etc), endorsed by some of the leading UK brass band players. 2019年6月30日 · The 3450 is a good horn but sounds smaller than the rest of my recommendations. Fits nicely into a quintet. Great do anything tuba, but doesn’t have as big a sound as the others. The Miraphones play great, sound great, and sell pretty easily. Of the three, my favorite was the 1293. But I’m biased, I used to own one.

His Orchestral Excerpt Book (written along with Lew Waldeck) was standard for tuba players until the Kalmus parts were published. Check out his duets! Book 1 of the Advanced Duets is especially good.

I’ve owned this horn for 30 years and regret that it is time to part with this delightful instrument. The horn was completely overhauled professionally in 2008 and test played by a Cleveland Orchestra tuba player who was impressed.
