Born at a pear orchard, and raised in a fruit market, Kasane Pearto is a fruit mutation of Kasane Teto. She spent all of her childhood years in that fruit market, surrounded by many others like her, all taking the forms of other fruit. During this time, she slowly began to discover herself, and what she found was a soul of chaos and evil.

Kasane Teto (重音テト) is a Japanese (and later English) UTAU who was originally created as a troll "VOCALOID" by fans. Her surname 重音 (Kasane) literally means "heavy sound" or "overlapped sound;" while these interpretations are widely accepted among fans, TWINDRILL has not released any announcements about the meaning of the name.
