2009年8月13日 · sugar soap is a good general cleaner for grease and oil etc.. as long as you dont leave it too long before cleaning off with a damp cloth there should be little or no risk to the varnish. all the branded products never seem to perform perfectly IMHO.

2010年2月15日 · Sugar soap for the walls. If you want to strip the old wax off completely first use white spirit then clean the door again afterwards with meths and very fine wire wool. Then you can rewax. White spirit will take the gloss off varnish. Use a damp cloth to clean or if its really dirty then yes use some sugar soap in the water.

2016年5月1日 · You'll need to wash the whole wall because sugar soap is so effective that, when you clean the patch where your head has been, it'll stand out from the rest. A cup in a bucket of hot water will be enough and then you need to rinse well. I've never heard of anybody using it to clean the bath, much less for washing up but no harm trying.

2006年7月11日 · Blu tack recommend using sugar soap. I've found that it will remove the paint too because, even rubbing gently, set in blu tack oil takes a lot of removing. Bicarbonate of soda would also work. Please don't use a test pot! It won't match and will leave a mark.
