When drinking Sinthe, it causes sudden euphoric and erratic effects, while withdrawal symptoms leave the drinker depressed and lacking energy. This seems to match the symptoms Childe is feeling when the Traveller meets him in Fontaine - with his inability to control his vision probably a side effect specific to the more sensitive hydro users.

Isnt the only reason why sinthe have any effect because it based on primordial sea water? And since fontainians got retetheret by Neuvillette, primordial sea water dont work on them anymore.

There's some mystery around it since it was popularized to cause hallucinations and that it made the mind clearer.

Prole Brain is the same way- was a HUGE destiny simp and got btfo’d once (the debate sinthe wants uploaded) and turned full-time hater. I almost wish august did release this debate because, despite Sinthe’s claims, Prole Brain did not have a good showing.
