Simushir (Russian: Симушир, Japanese: 新知島, romanized: Shimushiru-tō, Ainu: シムシㇼ, romanized: Simusir), meaning Large Island in Ainu, is an uninhabited volcanic island near the center of the Kuril Islands chain in the Sea of Okhotsk in the northwest Pacific Ocean.

Milna volcano is the southernmost active volcano on Simushir Island, Kurile Islands. It is located immediately SE of the truncated remnant (somma) of Goiaschaia volcano's old cone. Prevo Peak is a beautiful symmetrical stratovolcano resembling Mt. Fuji in Japan. FOr this reason, it is often called Simushiru-Fuji.
