Also, note that if you connect a USB 3 device into a USB 2 port, Windows may report "this device can perform faster if you connect it to a USB 3 port" (or wording something like that). P.S.

Does the cord fit USB port on other side ? They are difference BUT physically they will fit. You can use USB 2.0 cord/cable on USB 3.0 port (it fits perfectly) but you can only get USB 2.0 speed. Regards.
