The Global StarCraft II League (or GSL for short) is a large tournament-based League held on location in South Korea and holds multiple events each year. Having started in late August 2010, the league was first step towards a professional league in South Korea for StarCraft II.

2024 Global StarCraft II League Season 1: Code S is an offline Korean LotV tournament organized by AfreecaTV and ESL. This S-Tier tournament took place from Feb 29 to Apr 11 2024 featuring 16 players competing over a total prize pool of ₩20,000,000 KRW.

2023年4月25日 · Even with the shrunken prize pool, downsizing of Code S spots, and relegation to an online broadcast, GSL still produces some of the best Starcraft 2 competition there is. Games like the final set between DRG and Byun are the perfect example of that.
