Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB): EAI uses a hub-and-spoke approach to integration in place of many different point-to-point integrations. Instead of connecting directly to each other, applications connect to a centralized hub (or “bus”) – which makes it easier to add new apps as needed.

EAI stands for enterprise application integration. SAP defines EAI as the process of connecting independently designed software applications so they work together. SAP Process Integration (formerly known as SAP NetWeaver Process Integration) is SAP’s EAI software.

SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (SAP PI) is SAP's enterprise application integration (EAI) software, a component of the NetWeaver product group used to facilitate the exchange of information among a company's internal software and systems and those of external parties.

2006年8月4日 · EAI stands for Enterprise application interface. Generally it is used interchangeably with middleware. eg. seebeyond, SAP xI, TIBCO are some of the EAI tools. EDI: is nothing but electronic data interchange. It follows certain formats that are understood universally. It's more to do with the standard formats.

2019年12月20日 · In layman's terms: EAI connects your SAP or Salesforce to another application like JDA, Oracle Financials to your SAP systems, and vice-versa. Most EAI systems are PUSH driven, a transaction happens in your Enterprise App, and an EAI listener "sees" it and pushes it out over the bus, or to a centralized queue for distribution to other applications.
