2017年3月7日 · Everthing I read about the S3 nerve indicates it is a part of the sciatic nerve, it's just rooted in a different area. I have had constant pain in my L5-S1 and L4 for the past year. Currently I am taking Baclofen for muscle spasms, Tramadol for pain, and 300 mg twice a day of Gabapentin for nerve pain.

2017年3月7日 · They are located most prevalently at the S2, S3 level of the sacrum. The sacrum is a fused triangle-shaped bone comprised of the five sacral vertebrae forming the base of the spine. The five lumbar vertebrae are located just above the sacrum, and the four coccygeal vertebrae are just below the sacrum forming the coccyx or tailbone.

2017年3月7日 · This buttock pain is very different. No tingling/ parasthesia, cannot recreate with spine extension. Does not travel down the leg unless I really push past my limits, then I get some mild pain down to the knee and some tingling in bottom of my foot. The butt pain is localized to one spot always, where my back left pocket is. Here is the kicker.

2017年3月7日 · I have OA of spine, stenosis of partial T-spine, and lumbar spine. I had similar type pain along with my other associated pain in my legs and butt. I presume my superficial butt pain elicited from S3. I’ve done PT too and best medicine I’ve had. My butt pain did go away but I still have my chronic pain that is here to stay.

All of this has resulted in chronic pain, most of it is down my head/back/pelvis/spine and legs. In an effort to try to see more my doctor did a lumbar and pelvic MRI last week. Turns out I have a cyst on my spine called a perineural or Tarlov cyst. It's basically assistant starts at the nerve root and herniates out filling with spinal fluid.

Takes a while to recover, but this was the golden ticket for me. Last time I had this, I had 5 locations done, L4 through S3. Perhaps you could ask about this, if it is appropriate for your particular condition.

Anyone have experience with spinal decompression
2024年12月6日 · Eventually, like most of us here, stretching is mandatory after you've done the whole PT route, surgeries and doctors. IF you don't have the muscle strength to hold your spine in place after decompression treatment it won't help. (ergo the MFR!) good luck.
