Mini cheetah is the first four-legged robot to do a backflip
2019年3月4日 · MIT's new mini cheetah robot is the first four-legged robot to do a backflip. At only 20 pounds, the limber quadruped can bend and swing its legs wide, enabling it to walk either right side up or upside down. The robot can also trot over uneven terrain about twice as fast as an average person's walking speed.

MIT ‘cheetah’ robot rivals running animals in efficiency
2013年3月8日 · A 70-pound “cheetah” robot designed by MIT researchers may soon outpace its animal counterparts in running efficiency: In treadmill tests, the researchers have found that the robot — about the size and weight of an actual cheetah — wastes very little energy as it trots continuously for up to an hour and a half at 5 mph.
MIT cheetah robot lands the running jump | Robotics @ MIT
In a leap for robot development, the MIT researchers who built a robotic cheetah have now trained it to see and jump over hurdles as it runs — making this the first four-legged robot to run and jump over obstacles autonomously.
The MIT Mini Cheetah
The Biomimetic Robotics Laboratory at MIT focuses on designing and controlling robots using insights taken from the natural world. Many animals have fun and can display incredible feats of speed and agility that are sources of inspiration for the robots designed by the group.
Mini Cheetah - ROBOTS: Your Guide to the World of Robotics
Mini Cheetah is a small, agile four-legged robot that can run and do backflips. It is robust and has powerful actuators, allowing researchers to perform experiments and test new controllers without fear of breaking the robot.
MIT Cheetah 3: Design and Control of a Robust, Dynamic Quadruped Robot ...
Abstract: This paper introduces a new robust, dynamic quadruped, the MIT Cheetah 3. Like its predecessor, the Cheetah 3 exploits tailored mechanical design to enable simple control strategies for dynamic locomotion and features high-bandwidth proprioceptive actuators to manage physical interaction with the environment.
Cheetah Project | Beaver Works
The first generation cheetah robot now rivals biological systems with a cost-of-transport of 0.51, unprecedented for robotic legged systems. The key to this advancement has been clever mechanical design coupled with new electrical motors having optimal torque density.
