Rima Das (born 1977) is an Indian filmmaker [1] best known for her 2017 film Village Rockstars, which won several national and international awards [2] [3] and became India's official entry for the 90th Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category.

2025年2月10日 · Bangkok-based Diversion has acquired world sales rights for Indian filmmaker Rima Das‘ acclaimed “Village Rockstars 2,” which has its European premiere at the Berlin Film Festival.

Rima Das’ film “Village Rockstars” became the second Assamese film to win the National Award for Best Feature Film (after 29 years) at the 65th National Film Awards, first being the “Halodhia Choraye Baodhan Khai” by Jahnu Barua. Her movie won three more accolades best location sound recordist, best child artist, and best editing.
