Littelfuse offers five series of current-limiting Class RK5 fuses for superior short-circuit protection. Each boasts dual-element design and time-delayed performance that eliminates nuisance opening. Fuses in FLSR_ID also have built-in blown-fuse indicators.

Also called slow-blow Class RK5 fuses, these 200kA IR fuses open to disconnect an electrical circuit when exposed to sustained loads and short circuits. They have a visual indicator to make it easier to identify blown fuses for replacement.

A UL Class RK5 fuse is a current limiting time delay fuse that is rated to interrupt a minimum of 200,000 amps. The UL Class RK5 fuse is less expensive but less current limiting than the Class RK1 fuse.

The Cooper Bussmann FRS Series 15 Amp Brass Cartridge Fuse is constructed of brass end caps and a fiberglass tube. The cartridge is rated for up to 600 volts and is current limiting with a dual element and time delay. This class RK5 fuse is CSA- and UL listed.

Class RK5 fuses offer cost-effective current limiting and are recommended for AC power distribution mains, feeders, and branch circuits for motors, transformers, or heating / lighting. In ratings up to 600A, Edison EC series dual-element time-delay fuses offer a minimum 10 second delay at a 5x fuse rating.
