The RFB Faintrainer is a single-engine two-seat trainer aircraft produced by the German manufacturer RFB, Rhein Flugzeugbau GmbH. The Royal Thai Air Force was the sole operator of the Fantrainer (31 Fantrainer 400 and 16 Fantrainer 600 ).

The RFB-Fantrainer was developed by Rhein-Flugzeugbau GmbH in Germany in the late 1970s. RTAF cooperated with the German Company for manufacture the RFB Fantrainers FT-400 and FT-600.

2017年1月24日 · In August 1982 the RTAF signed a contract with RFB to buy 47 aircraft, 31 of the model 400 and 16 of the 600. They used as a step-up trainer for their future F-5 pilots. The first two aircraft were built in Germany, and the remaining aircraft were assembled in Thailand from kits shipped from RFB.
