RAL is a color matching system which defines colors for paint, coatings and plastics. The RAL standard is admini­strated by the RAL Deutsches Institut für Güte­siche­rung und Kenn­zeich­nung, located in Bonn (Germany).

RAL Classic is a collection of 216 colors. 1 is a micaceous iron color, 1 is a metallic color, 6 are fluorescent colors and 15 others are pearlescent colors. The RAL Classic colors have a 4-digit number in combination with the letters 'RAL' (for example RAL 1028).
