Which year r1100s is preferable? - Adventure Rider
2015年11月30日 · The R1100S is kind of hard to nail down. There are a bunch of different packages. Options include normal BMW things like heated grips, center stand, and hard bags (which totally kick ass, btw. the underseat exhaust means you get a full-sized bag on each side.) but other things too, like 5.5 inch rear wheel, sport suspension, shorter torque arm ...
R1100RS v.s. R1100S | Adventure Rider
2008年12月14日 · Coming from an F800S, I think you'll like the R1100S the best. I've owned a '94 R1100RS, '96 R1100RSL, '99 & '01 R1100S's, and a couple R1150R's. Of the three models, the R11S has the best aerodynamics, most power, and was the most satisfying to ride. A bit more hassle to service, but a beautiful, classic design.
4 Sale / 2004 BMW R1100S: Sport, or sport touring, greatness ...
2021年7月1日 · The R1100S had an unusual engine for a sportbike, and an unusual suspension. The braking was quite sensible, with dual discs up front and Brembo four-pot calipers. BMW was happy to stick with what works (single disc in rear, of course). ABS was an option, which was still noteworthy back in the mid-1990s.

2010年7月29日 · Consequently, the R1100S which is supposed to be the sportiest version of all these models has the largest rake angle at the normal laden riding position. This is unfortunate since the steering on this model will actually feel slower and more resistant to turning than even the touring RT version.

Sport Adjustable Torque Arm - Pelican Parts Forums
I like the unit. Arguably over kill and heavier than a short billet arm though. But, you can, if you pack the wrenches, even adjust rear bike height on the fly from nearly stock height to BCR Sport -remembering however, that your bike favors which ever it's set up for shock height wise rather permanently up front.
