2023年7月24日 · After a long and very fun weekend, Pikmin 4 is finally complete! Thus begins the 4 era and the wait for Pikmin 5! The game felt well-paced, a good length (for the most part), and overall much more satisfying than Pikmin 3 did at launch. Definitely a contender for the best game in the series, even if I still love 2 the best.

I think Pikmin 4 is the better game overall, but I have to agree on a lot of your points. For me Pikmin 4 is the biggest outlier in the series. It's not just a reboot for the story, but it feels like a reboot for the series as a whole, with the idea of "Dandori" being the focus in level design, mechanics and essentially every aspect of the game.

2023年9月8日 · Pikmin 4 does have a lot of room for improvement but it sits head and shoulders above the rest of the games and should be the template the series takes going forward. Pikmin 4 could take notes from the first three in regards to atmosphere, music, charm, boss design, and Pikmin AI which is where the others do shine better at.

It's the fourth game in the series. And the number 4 is considered unlucky in the East. Metroid Prime 4 still hasn't broken free from that curse. With the BotW sequel now having a title and a release date, Prime 4 would have been left all alone, if not for Pikmin 4. So now, Metroid and Pikmin can cuddle together in purgatorio.

Pikmin 4: The game starts off with a massive amount of dialogue that helps draws new players into the series, but it also annoys veterans. The difficulty curve starts off easier than Pikmin 3, but by the end of the game it’s definitely harder than Pikmin 3.

I understand Pikmin 4 will be a way for Nintendo to introduce news fans to the IP by probably making it more player friendly as they did with BOTW.
