I do run my PiDP-11 headless using a serial terminal running off a USB serial adapter plugged into the Pi augmented by ssh when I need additional console sessions. As a result, "screen" attaches automatically at login, and jumps to the most recent login if I have multiple connections to the Pi.

I would like to run also other applications on the Raspberry Pi inside the PiDP-11, and I have written a few of those who would benefit a lot from the speed of the RPi 5.

2024年9月5日 · Note that the PiDP-11 was released when the Pi 3B+ was the hot new model. The PiDP-11 software (client, server, startup, etc.) make some assumptions which don't hold true on newer Pi models. For example, on a Pi 5 some stuff happens so fast that things don't work right (for example, leaving front panel LEDs on when exiting the emulator).
