My PTR has the 18” target barrel. Let’s start with the obvious. It’s heavy. Really heavy. Nasty recoil with the HK G3 furniture. And the trigger sucks balls. Iron sights are very nice.

PTR wouldn’t have those issues being completely American made. I get it though and I will say I’m happy Century finally just blew the bottom out of the MP5 market with their $1000 base offerings. I’d absolutely love to see the same thing happen with a HK 33 clone or even a G3 clone.

2025年1月17日 · I think PTR would have been better to offer the 33, 33K, 53, and even a medium contour target gun. Make the target gun swappable in .556 and .300 blk with quick change barrels. RCM would be in business with Mike's second and third generation of workers.

2020年3月31日 · For crying out loud for all the money they BLEW on this funky AR15 hybrid PTR 63 they could've spent much less on new tooling to produce the 12.5" hand guards and keep that model in production. Their other short-barreled model in 7.62x39 is too short and hurts that cartridges power too much.

2018年11月16日 · Is PTR owned by a private individual or is it owned by multiple shareholders? If private, it can do whatever the sole owner wants, even if it is a narrow vanity project like the G41 "clone". If it is a shareholder company, the board has a fiduciary responsibility to increase shareholder value.
