2024年9月27日 · I modded my original Somo PEQ-15 with a diffuser lens to give the IR illuminator more spill. I posted it on social media and tagged Somogear. They liked it and they messaged me about being a tester for the PEQ-2. The unit they sent me was a pre-production. It would blink for a second or so under recoil and the zero wandered a bit.

2004年4月3日 · The AN/PEQ-2 is an infrared laser (visible only with Night Vision optics) and infrared illuminator. At night, you ideally want to have your NV head-mounted so that you can see wherever you are looking. This makes using iron sights and standard optics difficult or impossible, though, so instead, troops use the laser to aim with.

2024年8月30日 · Oh ok you are talking about the Larue LT124 QD Peq-2 mount which yes its taller than the insight mount that comes standard on the Peq-2. I'm looking for something like the KAC mount or Larue LT605 which sits a bit lower than the standard mount

The 2 must have the aimer on in conjuction with the illuminator but the aimer can be used alone on either model. the 15 has a crappy red laser aimer and a nice IR aimer and IR illuminator. The 2 has only a nice IR aimer and IR illuminator the 15 uses a single 123 battery. the 2 uses two AA bateries
