Otis Laurey[1] is an overweight Black Mesa security guard whose name can be seen in the Hazard Course Training schedule for the spring/summer season featured in the Half-Life PlayStation 2 instruction manual.

Otis Laurey is one of the Security Guards, First appeared on Gearbox Software's 1999 Half Life Opposing Force. He is one of The Recurring Allies in Several HL1 Mods. He is also the Main Protagonist in HL1 Mod Shift-Two .

It is believed he still, to this day, tries to reach the goods in the vending machine. He got nuked by the G-Man at the end of Op-For, remember? He either died in the nuke detonation or escaped Black Mesa before that.

Valve gave them a vague framework to build in, and the communications between both parties was also barely existent. Gearbox did what was right for their games, and did not always listen to Valve- and the other way around.
