2020年2月6日 · When Hanako and Nene meet in the middle, Nene falls through to the spirit world as if it were water. The white part of the screen on again turns black and Hanako is shown reaching for Nene and holding her close when she starts to transform into a fish from the water, the part that was shown bound to the Far Shore in the beginning.

2020年4月16日 · Now think about it hanako only becomes physical( partly depending on the area) once touched and nene is a fish/scales with water so for her to get rid of becoming fully fish hanako took on the physical part of being a fish since ghost fishes aren’t really a thing and even if hanako turned into a fish when touching water how would he touch it in the first place?

2020年3月15日 · I believe there was a 'Show Me Hanako-kun' strip that was after one of the early episodes that revealed this. It was also brought up very briefly by Nene in the manga in a skipped arc. Basically she baths in a bowl with shampoo/soap dispensed in it. Life's hard for Nene.

2021年11月28日 · if you’re up to date with the manga (don’t click on the spoiler if you haven’t read the latest chapters), you would know the severance is the separation between the human world and supernatural world. naturally, nene wouldn’t be able to see any supernaturals because they’re all gone from the near shore. but i think because hanako switched their fates, nene wouldn’t be able to see him.
