2021年5月21日 · I'm planning a viewing with some friends over what could be considered a "Best of YTP" or a sampler of everything it has to offer. I already have a few specific videos and creators in my head but I'd like to get some more recommendations, they can be new or old from any genre and maybe haven't aged very well but still could be considered classics.

This isn't r/ytp. This sub is meant to archive currently uploaded YTPs that have existed on Youtube for years and are considered historically, culturally, and/or aesthetically significant to the YTP community. Any YTPs submitted that are too "new" or come from obscure or unfamiliar sources will not be considered for archiving.

So I've got a massive archive of YTP's on the Internet Archive which I'm always updating, so if anyone wants me to save them on there, let me know!

When submitting a YTP for archiving, there are a few things to keep in mind : - Every post must include [YTP] at the beginning - The title in it’s original format (e.g. all lowercase, all uppercase, dashes, commas, hyphens, etc.) - The creator’s name - Year it was originally published (reupload dates don’t count) - Flair

Just using a basic video editor will do, but of course a more advanced one will help you do more with your videos, but don't worry about that too much as a beginner. With sources, use anything that you want to work with, and definitely get as creative as you can. Also maybe make a private playlist on Youtube of different sources you want to use.

FlyingKitty is straight up a YTP channel, although they've been neglecting to mention the YTP part and phrasing their videos more as memes than YTP, but the spirit is still exactly the same. Both are pretty funny most of the time and show creativity. I agree that modern YTP memery kind of goes hand in hand with what we know as YTP.

It's easy for posts about YTP collabs to get buried on this subreddit, so I thought I'd make a megathread for collabs. You're also still allowed to make a separate post about said collab for extra exposure, in addition to commenting here. The comments are automatically sorted by New, so make sure to scroll down for older announcements.
