Minto City, often called just Minto, sometimes Minto Mines, Minto Mine, Skumakum, or "land of plenty", was a gold mining town in the Bridge River Valley of British Columbia from 1930 to 1936, located at the confluence of that river with Gun Creek, one of its larger tributaries.

Minto was a sternwheel steamboat that ran on the Arrow Lakes in British Columbia from 1898 to 1954. In those years of service, Minto had steamed over 3.2 million kilometers serving the small communities on Arrow Lakes.

K'iyán Mountain (pronounced KEY-yawn) [2] is a mountain in the Atlin Country of far northwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is located 43 km (27 mi) north of the town of Atlin. It lies on the western side of the northeast arm of Atlin Lake.

MINTO CITY was established on the BRIDGE R east of GOLD BRIDGE in 1934 as a townsite for miners at the nearby Minto GOLD mine. At its peak the community had 800 residents. The mine closed in 1942 but a group of JAPANESE Canadians who were moved from the coast (see JAPANESE, RELOCATION OF) kept the town alive until the end of WWII.
