I can get twice as many minnows (20 dozen or so)for $13/pound if I pick them up right away when the truck comes to the bait store and keep 'em alive by myself. Usually it only takes a week and the water is very dirty.I know the amount of fish in it affects it, but the tanks at the bait shop usually look pretty good. Any help would be appreciated.

Last week I purchased 6 dozen minnows from the local store and we fished a full day on them, the minnow bucket was black with minnows when leaving the store.

2016年4月14日 · Better Bait and Finer Shiner are made be the same folks and have the basic same ingredients. Finer shiner has been formulated for hard scaled fish such as shiners. Better Bait is blue and Finer Shiner is green. Finer Shiner makes minnows so slick they are hard to hold on to. Both work for short term holding. For long term I use Finer Shiner.

The minnows are roughed up with the handling and some scales are knocked off. They are stressed because of overcrowding in the haulers tanks.
