Mergozzo (Margözz in Ossolano dialect) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) northeast of Turin and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) northwest of Verbania.

Lake Mergozzo, small and a little hidden, is renowned as one of the cleanest lakes in Italy: indeed, due to the absence of industrial activity, to a ban on motor boats and to an efficient sewage system, its waters are amongst the clearest in Italy.
