Manon Crochan-Blackbeak is a half Ironteeth, half Crochan witch, and one of the main protagonists of the series. She is the former heir of the Blackbeak Witch-Clan and the last surviving Crochan Queen, making her the Queen of Witches.

The Thirteen was a Blackbeak coven under the command of Manon Blackbeak. They were considered to be the fiercest and most disciplined of all the Ironteeth Witches. The Thirteen was founded by Manon Blackbeak when she was a young witchling.

The Blackbeak Matron was the grandmother of Manon and Matron of the Blackbeak Clan, one of the three Ironteeth Witch Clans. The Blackbeak Matron meets with one of the King of Adarlan's dukes, presumably Duke Perrington.

Manon was immediately attacked by the vicious bull, Titus. She sensed that the bait beast wanted a shot at Titus, and, after slicing the smaller Wyvern free and killing Titus with its help, Manon claimed the bait beast as her mount.
