The Great MadTV vs SNL debate! : r/television - Reddit
2017年2月6日 · SNL hasn't been funny since at least the 90's in my opinion. Mad TV was edgy, topical, and the comedic writing was actually really, really good. Debra Wilson playing Oprah and Phil Lamarr as Michael Jackson are probably the funniest things I've ever seen in my life to date.

2020年1月29日 · I’m talking overall consistent laughs minus the Peak points of SNL Your intent seems a bit disingenuous. You're absolutely right though. MadTV at its best is better than SNL overall if you remove SNL's best stretches. I don't think many people are hating on MadTV. In the late 90s/early 2000s, MadTV was talked about pretty much as an equal to SNL.

2023年5月11日 · I distinctly remember MadTV feeling competitive with, if not better than, SNL from 2005-2007. They had Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Ike Barinholtz, Bobby Lee, Aries Spears. Then once 2008 hit SNL really started pulling away.
Mad TV was a lot funnier and meaner than SNL : r/television - Reddit
2022年12月19日 · I don't find SNL funny. They're too soft on celebrities, a lot of the jokes don't land and the acting is very stagy. Mad TV, on the other hand, went ham on everyone and they had the best celebrity impersonations. No one did a …
In Living Color and Mad TV were infinitely better than SNL
2021年7月5日 · After the original cast left, SNL has gone downhill. Things got good again with Will Ferrel, Dana Carvy and the at crew but it never got as good as the original cast. Can anyone explain to me while SNL is still around while MadTV
2020年11月14日 · Mad TV waaaaaaay overused their recurring characters. There was very little new stuff for people to enjoy seeing. SNL has always been more innovative and just overall more interesting. People can debate the quality of talent and writers all they want, but that's more subjective. At least that's my 2 cents.

Mad TV was better than SNL : r/unpopularopinion - Reddit
2021年5月23日 · The recurring sketches like Stuart, Coach Hines, Miss Swan, and even Marvin with his "Common, Shelly!" sketch was better than any of the SNL recurring characters and sketches. It was a crime against humanity that Mad TV folded and SNL continues to pump out tired bullshit and weird monologues from guest hosts.
