What does Descend instruct me to do? Nothing, because it's a value check, not an activity I can do. There are previous ability words, which check for things in graveyard. Delirium for number of card types, Threshold whether you have 7+ cards. Both are nouns. If Descend X was Descent X it would be in line with the others.

Descend 8 means that there's an effect or added effect that happens when there's 8 or more permanent cards in your GY. Ignore Descend 8 and re-read the card and see if it makes more sense, all you need to do to cast this spell is pay the mana cost, the effect of it changes if there's 8 perm cards in the gy

2023年11月16日 · I think this is a glitch or something, FYI it works with conjured copies of cards being put into graveyard, if it's a permanent. I liked the descend mechanic and made a deck around it, I used treasure cards at first they did not work so switched to basic tap and sacrifice stuff. Evolving wilds triggers descend, as well as promising vein both lands.
