The M60, officially the Machine Gun, Caliber 7.62 mm, M60, is a family of American general-purpose machine guns firing 7.62×51mm NATO cartridges from a disintegrating belt of M13 links. m60系列有多个型号，主要有m60、m60d、m60e3等等（按下表），时移世易，现在m60在许多方面都已经显得落后了，尽管有新的改进型出来，但由于一些固定的缺点难以改进，因此美军装备的m60系列正逐步被m240系列（fn mag58）所取代。
