Lycaonia (/ ˌ l ɪ k i ˈ oʊ n i ə /; Greek: Λυκαονία, Lykaonia; Turkish: Likaonya) was a large region in the interior of Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey), north of the Taurus Mountains.
