I noticed while looking for LT1's on Ebay, That the Impala SS, Caprice, Ect used the 4l60e behind it. Is thier any difference between my 4l60e from my truck, And the ones from the caprices?

The small block headers will work fine but for best performance get a larger primary header just to make sure all the exhaust is getting out.\ 95xtreme here on the forum used the early model F-body Camaro manifold (ported of course) on his LT1 AWD swap.

2003年12月23日 · The '96-'00 Vortec 5.7 V8 swap is WAY easier in an S10 than the LT1 V8 is. All of the stock Vortec accessories fit in the S10 chassis with NO modifications required, whereas the frame has to be notched to fit the AC comp on the LT1 conversion.

2009年11月12日 · LT1's are externally balanced by the flexplate/flywheel. If you go with an internally balanced rotating assembly, but use the factory LT1 flywheel you're going to want to get the flywheel neutrally balanced.

2007年10月12日 · I'm attempting to use the CS-12 with d-port flanges on stock LT1 aluminum heads in a 97 S10. Mine arrived this Wednesday 2/13/08, a couple days after yours apparently.
