Accessible from both Packwood Lake and the Clear Fork trailhead, Lost Lake is a medium-sized, scenic little mountain lake ringed with trees and nestled in a small bowl below the former Lost Lake lookout site, a good spot for overnighting or taking a long day hike.

Lost Lake is open year-round for fishing. Some cutthroat trout broodstock weighing about one pound each are stocked in March. The lake is stocked in April and May with catchable-size (10"-12") and again in the fall with good numbers of larger jumbo rainbow trout to provide a fishery through the winter.

The campground is located next to Lost Lake which hosts a pair of Common Loons and Canada geese. There are 18 campsites, (14 single sites, and 4 doubles) with picnic tables and fire rings. A day use Picnic site, swim beach, ampitheater, and boat launch are also available.
